Take-out for adults

The library introduced take-out crafts for adults. Participants must be 18 years or older to participate.

The July craft is a mod podge terracotta flower pot.

A new trade will be introduced on the first day of each month.

The craft for August will be fairy clothespins.

Summer without fine

For the months of July and August, fines will be waived for the first 28 days after the due date, with the exception of mobile hotspots. Once the grace period has expired, a replacement cost will be assessed and the item will be considered lost.

Book sale

Friends of the Butler Public Library will be hosting the annual book sale August 2-10. Monday August 9; is $ 2 per bag day. Tuesday August 10; is the free day.

Library activities

• Ms. Teya will post new virtual stories on the library website every week. A number of Wiggle songs are also available and can be found on YouTube or Spotify.

• Tai chi lessons will be held on Monday at 5:45 pm every Monday when the library is open.

• A new take-out craft will be available every Wednesday at the lending counter for children to do at home.

• The Kids’ Garden Club meets at 4:00 pm every Wednesday. Upcoming topics include weeding, watering and pruning, chlorophyll transfers, and a garden club party. Children can register at the loan desk.

Shooting assistance offered

People who need help scheduling appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations can come to the library for help.

Visitors are asked to come to the library during regular opening hours for assistance or call the library at 868-2351 for more information.
