University of New Mexico football coach Danny Gonzales isn’t opposed to recruiting transfers from junior colleges, especially when they’re eligible to play three seasons in four years.

This is the case of cornerback Josh Williamson of Reedley College in California.

Williamson had two assists in one game, Reedley’s 38-6 victory over Siskiyous.

Williamson took to Twitter on Tuesday night to announce his commitment to the Lobos. One of the photos showed him posing with UNM cornerbacks coach Troy Reffett.

Williamson tweeted, “After a great visit to the University of New Mexico, I’m fortunate to say I’ve been given a full ride and am fully committed!!!”
