Idaho murder featured on national television Sunday
A murder that happened at one of Meridian’s Walgreens is the subject of a TV docu-series which airs this Sunday on the Featured news channel. If you lived in Idaho, especially in the Treasure Valley, you will remember the murder of Emmett Corrigan, husband, father and pillar of the community.
Corrigan’s murder will be covered by the Sex & Murder series on HLN. Corrigan’s wife Ashley has worked with the show’s producers, providing them with videos to be used during the show, reports News from Eastern Idaho. His murder was featured on the NBC Date Line few years ago. Ashlee and Kandi Hall faced off in Doctor Phi episodeI TV show. Mr. Corrigan was shot dead in the Walgreens parking lot in Meridian, Idaho, on Linder Road. (Some people have called it the Walgreens of Death due to the murder that took place in the parking lot.)
Coincidentally, Corrigan’s killer Robert Hall recently lost a second degree murder conviction appeal to the Idaho Supreme Court reports the Idaho statesman.
Hall was expecting Corrigan, who was in an extramarital affair with Hall’s wife, Kandi at the time. Corrigan was married to his wife Ashlee, who had just given birth to her fifth child. She remarried and wrote a book on recovery from the murder of her husband.
We spoke with her several years ago and with her father, who detailed just how good a man Emmett Corrigan was at the time of his murder. Hall is serving a 30-year term. He will not be eligible for parole until he has served more than half of his sentence.
Hall’s case in the Supreme Court was an appeal that the jury had not received proper instructions during his trial. Hall attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head, but survived the attempt to kill himself.
You can watch the series this Sunday at 8 p.m. MT on HLN. The show’s website describes this week’s episode:
