Digimon Adventure 2020 teases arrival of Goddramon vs. Milleniumon
The Digimon reboot series is gearing up for another decisive battle, teasing the appearance of another Saint Digimon to defeat Milleniumon.
WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Episode 49 of Digimon Adventure 2020, “The God of Evil Descends, Milleniumon,” now streaming on Crunchyroll.
As Digimon Adventure 2020 Approaching another arc finale, viewers can expect to be treated to an even more action-packed climax than last time around. And when we say bigger, we mean it literally because … well, Millieniumon’s foot is barely small enough to fit into the same frame as the DigiDestined. The anime’s latest big villain isn’t the only big reveal in Episode 49, either. Fresh out of a seeming death in the final episode, WarGreymon rises from the ashes right under the villain’s toes, leaving the viewers on another tense cliffhanger.

But it’s not even yet all because, once again, the preview segment of the “Digimon Encyclopedia” announces the arrival of another player on the board – one on the par of Milleniumon.
Milleniumon’s long climb towards occult revival culminates in the aptly named “The God of Evil Descends, Millieniumon”, in which the bane of the digital world finally reaches its gestational peak in its giant crystal. We briefly see the creature evolve into its earlier form, Kimeramon, which was believed to play a much larger role based on this episode’s preview last week. Despite Matt, Sora, and Izzy’s efforts to destroy him, Kimermon quickly becomes Milleniumon as he is still encased in his diamond belly before fully hatching, hanging above the earth with his new one. huge body, inducing a considerable amount of fear in the watching chosen ones.
But hope is not lost: with a ray of light at the feet of Milleniumon marches WarGreymon. The last time we saw the Mega Digimon, it was at the center of a massive explosion caused by the remains of Mugendramon that rocked the continent of clouds. There is no sign of Tai yet, but snapshots from Episode 50 assure viewers that the bespectacled hero is just as safe as his digital partner … for now, at least.
WarGreymon and the rest of the team won’t be alone in taking on this divine monster, thankfully. The silhouette that appears at the end of the last segment “Digimon Encyclopedia” is unmistakably that of the winged, serpentine Goddramon (also known as the Goldramon). Another confirmation comes from the episode 50 preview, which also includes a close-up of the creature’s eye. As the name suggests, this ultimate level being is not to be taken lightly. Goddramon is based on the legendary Shinryu from Chinese mythology, the same divine dragon that inspired Dragon ballIt’s Shenron. In Digimon tradition puts Goddramon on the foot of Saint Digimon; one of an elite group known as the “Four Great Dragons Digimon”, although only one other member is known by name so far, Holydramon. Both of these beings possess insta-kill abilities – Goddramon is the devastating “God Flame,” who hits everything around him with holy energy.
As this will be the first time the being is animated, it is not known how Goddramon will do the grace. Digimon Adventure 2020 with his presence. If an established pattern holds true – which isn’t always a guarantee in the reboot series – the newly introduced MagnaAngemon will be key, as the Great Dragon will evolve from the ultimate form of Angemon in the 2010 Nintendo DS game. , Digimon Story: Lost Evolution. The material featured in the preview also supports this theory, with an increased focus on Kari and TK in the upcoming battle, both of whom are in partnership with Holy Digimon.
As usual, the hardest part for the Ascended will be accessing Goddramon. The more powerful the transformation, the greater the physical and emotional strain on the children. With Milleniumon currently casting a dark and vast shadow over the digital world, they will have to dig deeper than ever to find the light.
