We are now just over a week away from Boba Fett’s bookand fans are excited for this glimpse into Star Wars’ sinister criminal underworld. In addition, the series is a good substitute for a third season of The Mandalorian as it continues straight from the second season of this show, which ended by showing that Boba Fett is now the linchpin of Tatooine’s crime. However, as the trailers indicate, the crown will rest heavily on his head.
Celebrity action director Robert Rodriguez directs the show with support from Star wars guru Dave Filoni. The latter has become a popular figure among fans: expanding the universe by The clone wars, Rebels, and The bad lot and a key part of The MandalorianSuccess.
One factor that makes it so valuable is the wealth of Star wars knowledge he has. Temuera Morrison said having him around makes it super easy to stay on top of the lore, and co-star Jennifer Beals agrees. She plays a still unknown Twi’lek and has found Filoni’s advice invaluable.
Talk with Variety, she said:
“Dave Filoni is just amazing. It’s like a walking encyclopedia, instead of relying on the Internet – of which, you know, I don’t know who the authors of certain articles that I look at – I would go to the source. I would go see Dave, and we would talk about the character and how this person is different maybe from the lineage that came before him, and what informed his experiences and then how does that change his appearance. or his behavior – or his clothes for that matter. “
Beals seems to have arrived in Boba Fett’s book like a suit Star wars beginner, not knowing anything about The Mandalorian:
“In this case, I did not know The Mandalorian really neither. My older brother called me and said, “I’m going to watch The Mandalorian with [my] children. ‘ And I said, ‘Oh, tell me about The Mandalorian, ‘and he started telling me about the show and how awesome it was. And I walked into the house and the phone rang and that was the offer [for The Book of Boba Fett]. So that night I started to watch. I was just stunned. It was so beautiful with so much cinema and heart at the same time. “
She was still in the dark when she arrived on set, saying:
“I mean, I knew the character. But that’s how good they are at locking secrets: even when I first entered set, I didn’t realize I was in. Boba Fett’s book. I just knew I had to be a part of this story.
It’s been a while since Star wars has had a new prominent Twi’lek character, so hopefully Beals does him justice.
Boba Fett’s book premieres December 29 on Disney Plus.
