Armed robberies lead to three suspects

Two teenagers and a 20-year-old man are in the Forest County jail, arrested for their alleged connection to two armed robberies last week.

According to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office, three male suspects broke into a Wabeno home on June 4, a report said.

About half an hour later, the Oconto County dispatch center received a call to 911 reporting an armed robbery at a residence in the town of Mountain. The suspects reportedly forced entry and pointed a gun at a minor inside the house, and took several guns and other items. While fleeing, the vehicle they were in sustained damage when it crashed into a door.

Investigators from the Forest County and Oconto Sheriff’s Departments worked together on the cases.

Forest County deputies and investigators and the K9 unit followed the suspects through the woods, collecting evidence they believed had been abandoned by the suspects. They obtained footwear and vehicle tire prints.

On Wednesday, June 9, an assistant from the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle. Driver Kevin Reed, 20, of White Lake was arrested. Two accomplices, identified as Keilon Reed, 16, from White Lake and Galen Daniels, 17, from Wabeno, were arrested early the next morning.

In a press release, the Forest County Sheriff’s Office said the teens would be charged in court as adults.
