A third Eorzea encyclopedia is coming
During the 2 p.m. broadcast, Final Fantasy 14 announces that the third installment of Encyclopedia Eorzea is currently in development.
Final Fantasy 14 recently announced players could expect a third installment of Eorzea Encyclopedia. The lore book is currently in development by Final Fantasy 14although it currently has no scheduled release date.
Eorzea Encyclopedia 3 was announced during the producer’s live letter at the start of the 2 p.m. broadcast for Final Fantasy 14. While it hasn’t received an official price, players can expect the encyclopedia to be priced at $50 and will almost certainly include a code for a minion or other cosmetic item with their purchase.
The previous Eorzea Encyclopedia books only covered Final Fantasy 14 lore through the Stormblood expansion. Two expansions–Shadowbringers and Endwalker– have been released since then, both of which have provided a massive amount of world-altering lore. Considering all the ground Eorzea Encyclopedia 3 must cover, the new lore book for the critically acclaimed MMORPG will be a must-have for Final Fantasy 14 traditional dogs.
Eorzea Encyclopedia 1 and 2, released in 2016 and 2018 respectively, were so massively popular that they sold out almost immediately. Both Final Fantasy 14 the books have been frequently out of stock as Square Enix has tried to keep up with demand and only recently stabilized supply during a massive reprint in August 2022. If gamers hope to get their hands on Eorzea Encyclopedia 3they better pre-order their copies as soon as they become available.
Gamers are understandably excited about the announcement of the new Final Fantasy 14 knowledge book. The previous two hardcover encyclopedias were beautifully designed and full of amazing world builds. The tomes include fascinating anecdotes about the people, places, cultures and even objects found in Final Fantasy 14. Considering Shadowbringers and Endwalker contained some of Final Fantasy 14 community favorite characters, it’s no surprise that fans eagerly await any new stories they can uncover about their favorite heroes and villains.
Final Fantasy 14 fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future. During the live letter from the producer, Final Fantasy 14 The announced patch 6.25 arrives on October 18, with patch 6.3 likely to arrive before the end of 2022. Final Fantasy 14 also revealed Fan Festival dates for 2023 and 2024, where the next expansion will almost certainly be revealed. Hopefully players will get an official announcement – and maybe even a release date – for Eorzea Encyclopedia 3 at one of the three Fan Fest events as well.
Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4 and PS5.
